The difference between temperature and humidity

-Temperature is the average amount of the energy of motion of the particles of a substance.
-Humidity is the measurement of water vapor in the air
-You measure temperature with a thermometer and humidity with a psychrometer or hygrometer
-Temperature is measured in Degrees while humidity is measured in percent.Temperature=Heat present in the air
Humidity=Moisture or Dampness present in the air by percentage

In a gas at the molecular level, individual molecules lose energy through collisions. The kinetic energy of individual molecules is converted to heat and lost through the random collisions. “Temperature” is nothing more than a measure of amount of energy converted through the transfer of kinetic energy to heat, averaged over trillions of individual molecules. Without an external heat source (like the sun, which gets it’s energy from nuclear reactions), these random collisions will always decrease in frequency and intensity, meaning the total energy trasfered will always decrease, which means the average energy converted, or temperature, of the gas will always go down.

Humidity is macro-property of air. Water vapor can be suspended within the air up to a certain point, depended on pressure, temperature, particulates in the air, and many other factors. Under 100% humidity there is a transfer of water vapor into the atmosphere (however, on cold surfaces water vapor is transferred back to the surface as condensation). If the air is supersaturated, then initiation points, such as dust particles, can collect water vapor into droplets, forming rain.
