Earth Day, celebrated in the US on April 22nd, is a day designed to raise and inspire awareness & appreciation for the Earth’s environment.Earth Day Itself was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in 1970 and is celebrated in many countries around the world. The date itself is important as it marks the start of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere , however The United Nations celebratesEarth Day on the March equinox, normally on March 20th, a date set in 1969 by a peace activist called John McConnell.

The event is now approaching it’s 40th Anniversary and it a Global Day of Action will take place on April 22nd, 2010 by the The Green Generation™.Earth Day Network or EDN would like you to join the The Green Generation™ in one, or both of following ways-
